Had dinner at Waterfront Crown, Stevie and i shared a seafood platter -mussels, salmon, prawns, oysters, crayfish, crabs- at a price of $160. We were expecting it to be fantastic, and it wasn’t. I was very disappointed at the turnout of our dish.

After dinner, we headed to Spice Market, which ended up been a terrible night. It was squishy, and there were alot of middle aged men. Everyone was grinding on each other and it felt like an orgy. LOL. It wasn’t funny.

Toy Story 3 trailers came on and i was still excited, thinking it was going to be next. Nope, nothing, the movie began. lols, i can’t write a review for Alice, because i was in such a bad mood afterwards. It also didn’t help that my boyfriend ordered the wrong thing on the menu. I wanted Nachos and he ordered wedges. Seriously, the night was shiteous.

Anyway, our first day we saw a storm trooper ‘popping’ in the streets so i took a photo with him lol im such a tourist. I had my hair and lash extensions done there, best quality hair and look and price!! It’s so cheap $360 for hair and ONLY $50 for FULL SET EYELASH EXTENSIONS at Vain Beauty. In Australia, i would pay around $400-$500 for hair and $150 for full set lash, the quality and look is nowhere near what was done in Singapore.

We attended Steven’s cousin Chester’s wedding, let me tell you it was one weird wedding. There were a lot of singing in the beginning, mostly about how the couple loves Jesus and thanks him for bringing them together. I had been to asian weddings before, but this was definitely not the same.

I went nuts with shopping, bought at least 10 pairs of shoes, to this day i have not worn them all, probably just 4 pairs. I didn’t buy much clothes for myself, because the ones i adored were only ‘one size’ and for SMALL people. I’m going back to Singapore in 2011 so i have joined the GYM (as part of my ny resolution) so hopefully by the time i get back there i can fit into those clothes! LOL.

As far as tourist attractions, we went to the Singapore Zoo & Sentosa Theme Park. The Zoo was boring, some of the animals were sleeping or hidden. Maybe i’m just not a zoo person. Oh, the butterfly /bird park was scary, i kept ducking every which way. I hate miniature insects, with a passion, actually i might be afraid of them. Steven ended up holding a Burmese python, a big rhino bull & a huge millipede – like a bracelet.

When we were on our way back home at the airport, we NEARLY missed our plane, since i was trying to figure out if the money exchange gave me the right conversion or not. Our flight was at 9.30 and we didn’t think to check the time, til i saw my iphone and it said 9.25pm!! Steve was like, “You better get ready to sprint”. I was but then the checkout gate was just a few metres away, Phew.

What are your New Year Resolution?

Mine are:
* Be an active blogger (which reminds me i need to update on my Singapore trip, upload photos from Xmas, etc)
* Design more frequently
* Quit Smoking (this is going to be very hard)
* Be more outgoing
* Lose weight (10kg, am 68kg atm)
* Be healthy
* Spend less, save money for a new car.

And most importantly, what ‘career’ i want and how to get it.

We’re staying with Steven’s aunt in an apartment at Tiong Bahru.
The first day in Singapore, we went via MRT (very impressive public transportation compared to Melbourne) to look for Far East Plaza where i had a hair and lash appointment with Milly’s. The walk was long and i can’t believe how humid the weather was or is. I’m not used to this kind of weather but i’m glad indoors were aircon. And i am also amazed at how many shopping centres there is here, it’s insane. 1 and 1/2 hours later we thought we found the plaza, only to be told it was the Far East Shopping Centre and walked around looking for the plaza. When we finally got there, the map of stores didn’t list Milly’s and Steven’s brothers were getting restless. LOL. We walked around and asked a few store staff where Milly’s store was and they shrugged and said they didn’t know where it was. Either the store wasn’t there or they couldn’t understand me! Argh! The boys pushed me to go a different hair salon, and i gave in. I went to Vain Beauty. I was very hesitant as i had done some research prior, and there weren’t very good feedbacks for Vain Beauty. Anyway, went in and told them my budget was 200, there was only one staff that could speak English. Broken English, i didn’t bother to return small talk as i couldn’t understand her accent and “words”. She put 360 strands on my hair and i just went along with it. My hair is very thin so i liked the feel of having thick hair. It’s $1 per strand and this salon is making huge money. Rip off. I only say that because PER strand there’s about 10 pieces of human hair. I’ve done alot of hair extensions before and let me tell you, the strand back in Melb is way thicker. So what the girl did was doing 4-5 strands/bundles per attachment. And the thickness of 4-5bundles is what you would get at home that is only 1 bundle.. if that makes sense. My hair looked hot so i had no complaints, besides the cheatness of the strands. She only took 1 1/2 hours to do my hair, very quick. After that, went and got my lashes done, it looks sooooooooo hot. They do strips, instead of per lash and it’s so much better, it’s like putting the temporary strip lashes on but these lasts for 1 month.

The next day was his cousin’s wedding, the reception was different. They had a lot of singing in the beginning and one was about how they love Jesus. The food was delicious, but not enough for me

Day 3, Steven and i went to Bugis, and i bought a couple of clothes for my sisters. Bugis market is huge. Steven said you can bargain with them but when they suss you out and know that you’re tourist, they take advantage of you. Bad Singaporeans!!

Well here’s some pictures of my workmate, Will’s Wedding on 31/10/09. Yes, Halloween, to all who celebrates it. We don’t. It was a beautiful day, the wedding was held on the rooftop of Rydges Melbourne. The bride, Ola, was gorgeous!! The food there was not bad, it was La-Carte menu… which was sort of like a set menu where every second person had a different meal.

I bought new heels at Novo for this occasion, (i was planning to wear my favourite purple snakeskin also from Novo, but found out my little sister had worn it out and it’s stumped out, GRRR!!) and it killed me, it was uber tight and for the rest of the night i didn’t walk around kept sitting down >_< Couldn't even dance that much. Taking in consideration that I'm not a heels kinda girl, and these ones were especially high. I heart heels but it's not good for me.

I’m doing this ‘Jim’ impression, because of the heels.

Thank God to one of the workers at a nearby laundry factory, Paul, had those wire thingys, and connected it from his car to mine.
Turned the ignition. Didn’t work. Panic mode. Paul tried a couple of times, even waited ten minutes and it still wouldn’t start. He walked back to the factory and came back with a kettle. He poured water inside the battery, and started up the car, and it worked!!

I had to go post office to do my passport photos (for when i go to Singapore this November!!), but Paul said the car might not start once i’ve turned off the engine… So i decided to put off doing the passport photos (again) and drove straight home. Each time, stand by at the traffic lights, i was praying it wasn’t going to turn off by itself.  i have bad luck especially with this car, but this time, i made it home safely.

I know i’ve mentioned a couple of times that i needed a new car, i think i’ll ride this one til it dies. lol.

Until last night.

I was checking my webalizer for MrHedlund.com, and saw that July was a big hit compared to other months. This is because of San Diego Comic Con, and Garrett hardly gets his pictures taken when his doing normal everyday things (not very known with the paparazzi), so us fans gets a little crazy when there are new pictures of him.

Anyway, i usually check the search strings and referrers. I do click on referrers to have a look at what they post or what they’ve linked mh.com to. I was in shock when i first saw it. I thought maybe the domain was a re-direct to my site, but the domain name had nothing to do with mh.com and i noticed the header and the welcome msg was different but everything else was downright copied! I was just, no words to explain how i felt. This person who stole my layout and content was also a hostee from fsorg, it’s just even words.

I then was sorta mad and found out who the owner of that site was, pmd him a simple, “Could you explain your site?” and i contacted Gertie to make her aware of the situation.

Sunday before Thursday, Steven gave my present early. A MacBook Pro 13″ laptop, which i am currently on. Tired of how PC was treating me, with viruses and then outlook not saving my passwords, i’ve had enough! Still getting around to the way of the Mac, its definitely way different to PC which i’ve been using for 9 years now and used Mac in primary school, donky years ago.

Thursday night, Steven and I went to Chadstone Shopping Centre. Let’s just say we didn’t go crazy shopping, understandably since he bought the Mac, and the day before i paid off my credit card of $700, leaving $1200. Credit cards are bad, been a cc holder, i am evil.

Saturday, had a family dinner. Seafood themed – crab and noodles, abalone with xo sauce, steamed fish, raw oysters (LOVE LOVE), duck, and vegetables. It was delicious! You should have seen my cake, pwoah, double story.
